Laconia-----Janet Kingsbury Littlefield, 82, of 201 White Oaks Road, died at the Goldenview Health Care C enter, Meredith on Wednesday, September 9, 2009.

Mrs. Littlefield was born September 30, 1926 in Malden, Mass. She lived in Melrose, Mass. for several years before moving to Laconia forty-five years ago. She was the Director of Volunteer Services at Lakes Region General Hospital for seventeen years, retiring in 1981.
Mrs. Littlefield was a member of the Gilford Community Church, the Opechee Garden Club and the Laconia Altrusa Club.

Mrs. Littlefield is survived by her husband of sixty- three years, Gene R. Littlefield, of Laconia; two sons, R. Scott Littlefield and his wife, Janet T. Littlefield, of New Castle, N.H. and Peter F. Littlefield of Laconia; her daughter, Sara L. Godek, and her husband, Gregory F. Godek, of Intervale, N.H. and nine grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, David W. Littlefield, in 1996.

There will be no calling hours

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 1:00PM at the Raymond C. Wixson Memorial Garden, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, N.H. 03249.
