Meredith-----Catherine E. Benoit, 77, of 128 Livingston Road, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 with her family at her side. She was the widow of Clifford A. Benoit, Sr.

Mrs. Benoit was born August 25, 1932 in Boscawen, NH the daughter of Omer and Hazel (Dukette) Duquette. She was resided in Boscawen before moving to Meredith over fifty years ago.

Mrs. Benoit had been employed at the American Asbestos Mill in Meredith and at the Franklin Brush Company in Laconia before retiring in 1992.

Mrs. Benoit loved going to her son’s and grandson’s softball games. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts for all of the grandchildren. She especially enjoyed cooking big meals for her family each Sunday and Holidays.

Mrs. Benoit is survived by four sons, Clifford A. Benoit, Jr., and his wife, Karen, of Belmont, Steven Benoit of Meredith, Mark Benoit and his wife, Joanne, of Meredith and Jason Benoit and his wife, Stacy, of Sanbornton; a daughter, Cynthia Kimball, and her husband, David, of Sanbornton; seven grandchildren, David, Kelly, Forrest, Clinton, Meagan, Haillie and Nadia; a great-grandchild, Carly and other extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, Sr., her parents Omer & Hazel Duquette, a brother Vernon Duquettte and a sister Elaine Duquette.

Memorial calling hours will be held Friday October 2, 2009 from 4-6 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street Laconia.

A Memorial Service will be held following calling hours at 6:00 PM also at the funeral home.

Following the Memorial Service, a gathering will be held at the Opechee Park Club House 915 North Main Street, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice 780 North Main Street Laconia, NH 03246.
