Gilford------Ralph C. Chase, 87, of 9 Sargent Place, Lake Breeze Park, died at his home on Thursday, September 25, 2003.

Mr. Chase was born September 10, 1916 in Derry, NH, the son of Jacob and Harriet( Stevens) Chase. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Chase has been a resident of Gilford for the past five years coming from Sanbornton.

Mr. Chase had been employed at Bergen-Paterson in Laconia for many years.

Mr. Chase loved flowers, fruit trees and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Eunice E. (Sawyer) Chase of Gilford, NH; two daughters, Mona Smith of Sanbornton, NH and Priscilla Kaiser of Gilford, NH; six grandchildren, Jesse Chase, Beau Chase and Tristen Chase all of Sanbornton, NH; Greg Kaiser of Orlando, Florida, Chris Kaiser of Laconia, NH and Corey Smith, Sanbornton, NH; one brother, Calvin Chase of Derry, NH; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four brothers, Jake Chase, Frank Chase, Charlie Chase, and Raymond Chase and by a sister, Ella Curtis.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 29, 2003 from 1:00-3:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 3:00PM also at the Funeral Home.

Private burial will be at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
