Mildred G. Taggett

Gilford-----Mrs. Mildred G. Taggett, 85, of 1424 Lake Shore Road, Gilford, died at her home, Saturday, September 21, 2002. She was the widower of Charles W. Taggett who died in 1981.

Mrs. Taggett was born May 6, 1917 in Gilford, the daughter of Samuel and Ida (Brown) Harris. She had lived most of her life in Gilford.

Mrs. Taggett had been employed at Laconia Manufacturing for 33 years retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Meredith Center and a former treasurer and a deaconess. She was a Senior Companion as well as a Hospice volunteer.

Survivors include a son William H. Taggett of Meredith; a daughter Cynthia Sargent of Gilford; 4 grandchildren; William C. Taggett and Michael Taggett both of Meredith, Mary Peck of Roundrock, Texas and Barbara Bacon of Franklin, NH; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren..

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia Wednesday September 25, 2002 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Madelyn Klose, former pastor of the Meredith Center Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
