Edith V. Flanders

Laconia-----Mrs. Edith V. Flanders, 85, formerly of 7 Church Street, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Thursday, September 12, 2002. She was the widow of Clarence F. Flanders who died in 1985.
Mrs. Flanders was born February 28, 1917 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Alfred & Rose (Fecteau) Guyer. She was a lifetime resident of Laconia and was employed at Cormier Hosiery for twenty-five years, retiring in 1975.

Mrs. Flanders was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart and the Catholic Daughters. She also was a member of the Laconia Senior Center.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia K. and Stephen Kupetz of Gilford; one grandchild, Kimberly Cote, of Boston, MA; a brother, Harold Guyer, of Suncook NH; three sisters, Rachel Martel of Laconia and Anita Styring and Theresa Emery both of Florida; and several nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours per Mrs. Flanders request.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Laconia on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home, Sit-Stand Lift Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
