Anna V. Christy

Laconia-----Mrs. Anna V. Christy, 89, formerly of 40 Parker Street, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Sunday, September 29, 2002.

Mrs. Christy was the widow of Paul M. Christy who died in 1974.

Mrs. Christy was born August 28, 1913 in Lowell, MA the daughter of Vassilios and Georgitsa (Pigadiote) Kypriotis. In 1938 she moved from Concord, NH to Laconia, NH. Over the years, she worked for the Allen-Rogers Corp., Scott & Williams and Davison Rubber Co. She and her husband owned and operated Paul's Diner for several years.

Mrs. Christy was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Archangels in Laconia and was the oldest member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society

Survivors include a son, Milton V. Christy and his wife, Sue, of Belmont; two daughters, Myrsine "Marcy" Wright, of Concord and Pauline Gorey of Lee; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two brothers, Nick Kypriotes of Dracut, MA and Arthur Kypriotes of Lowell, MA; two sisters; Florence Kouveloutis of Dracut, MA and Julia Cockrell of McGee, Mississippi and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Paul M. Christy, Jr. who died in 1998. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 from 7:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A funeral service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Archangels, 811 North Main Street, Laconia on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246 or the Ladies Philoptochos Society, 811 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246
