Laconia-----Pauline Leighton Simons, 68, of 664 Main St. Apt. 5, died at home on Tuesday, September 30, 2008.

Mrs. Simons was born August 31, 1940 in Laconia, New Hampshire the daughter of Ira and Bell (Bean) Leighton. She has been a resident of Laconia for the past forty four years coming from Sanbornton.

Before retirement Mrs. Simons worked as an attendant for the Laconia State School & Training Center for twenty five years and also at the Lakes Region Community Services Council in Laconia.

Mrs. Simons is survived by two sons, Benny Simons of Remsen, New York and Kenny Simons of Laconia; four grandchildren, Christopher, Emily, Randy and Kenneth Simons; a brother, George Leighton of Sanbornton; six nephews and five nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased a son, Joel L. Simons and by two sisters, Grace Doubleday and Helen Duvall.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 2:00PM in the Union Cemetery, Woodman Road, Sanbornton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association–Manchester, N.H. Office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
