Northfield-----Alice (Sheldon) Robinson, 89, of 25 Spring Street, died at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Mrs. Robinson was the widow of William E. Robinson who died in 1982.

Mrs. Robinson was born September 23, 1919 in Dedham, Mass., the daughter of William H. and Alice (Barlow) Sheldon. She resided in Northfield, N.H. for over sixty-five years and was employed at Tilton Leather for twenty years.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Methodist Church in Tilton and was a member of Eastern Star Peabody Mt. Washington Chapter #35.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by one son, William E. Robinson, Jr., of Northfield; four daughters, Alice E. Fabian of Tilton, Barbara Isensee of Northfield, Pauline F. Boyce of Kissimmee, Florida and Mary Louise Rowe of Laconia; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; a great, great grandson; a sister, Anne H. Shanahan of Newmarket; two brothers, Edward B. Sheldon of Northfield and Paul H. Sheldon of Plant City, Florida and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Richard Robinson, in April 2008 and by three brothers, William H. Sheldon, Jr., Robert H. Sheldon and Albert F. Sheldon.

According to Mrs. Robinson’s wishes, here will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Burial will be in the family lot in Park Cemetery, Tilton
