Laconia-----Dorothy E. (Felker) Marshall Provencal, 83, resident of the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center passed away on October 21, 2008.

Dorothy “Dotte” was born May 28, 1925 in Laconia, the daughter of the late Louis K. and Ruth M. (Preston) Felker and granddaughter of the late NH Commissioner of Agriculture, Andrew L. Felker, and his wife, Eva, of Meredith, NH.

Dotte attended Laconia Schools and graduated from Laconia High School in 1943. She worked at Scott & Williams for 24 years as a bookkeeper. She also worked for a short time for Atty. James Doherty. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Norman Provencal, in 1968, she worked for Lomas & Nettleton Mortgage Company as a bookkeeper for eleven years.

Dotte is survived by her brother, Kenneth Felker, and his wife, Pauline, of Northfield; her sister, Barbara Felker Kelley, of Belmont; 2 step-sons Larry Provencal and his wife Vicki of Fla. and Robert Provencal of Nev.; her sister-in-law, Ida Felker, of Londonderry; a sister-in-law, Germaine Provencal, of Laconia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Marshall; a nephew, Ronald Provencal; a brother-in-law, Robert “Red” Provencal; her husband, Norman Provencal, and her brother, Maurice H. Felker, of Londonderry, N.H.

Dotte will be remembered with love for her infectious laugh, her love for her family and her generosity to family and friends. She will be missed by all.

According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A private service will be held by her family.

Burial will be in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith Center, NH.
