Barbara J. (Racicot) Monasky

Franklin, N.H.-----Barbara J. (Racicot) Monasky, 73, of 35 River Street, died at the Hospice House, Concord on Monday, October 27, 2008.

Mrs. Monasky was born October 7, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas L. and Irene M. (Wallner) Racicot.

Mrs. Monasky lived in Johnson City, New York for several years before moving to Franklin in May, 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cross stitching and the New York Yankees.

Mrs. Monasky is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Richard F. Monasky, of Laconia; six sons, Richard T. Monasky and his wife, Deborah, of Johnson City, N.Y., Joseph J. Monasky and his wife, Linda, of Alton, N. H., Dr. Mark S. Monasky and his wife, Judy, of Bismarck, N.D., Robert X. Monasky and his wife, Marcy, of Corvallis, Oregon, Michael E. Monasky of Binghamton, N.Y. and David A. Monasky and his wife, Carolyn, of Belmont, N.H.; two daughters, Marie E. Ahern of Franklin, N.H. and Barbara I. Opara of Spanaway, Wash.; eighteen grandchildren; two great grand children; two brothers, Thomas Racicot of Fla. and Robert Racicot of Conn.; several nephews and nieces and two close friends, Sandy Shapiro and Chris Keiser.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 3:00-5:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Baptist Church of Franklin, 21 Church Street, Franklin, N.H. Rev. Scott Secrest, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Visiting Nurses Association, 75 Chestnut Street, Franklin, NH 03235 or to the CRVNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant Street, Concord, N.H. 03301.
