Dorothy Mae (Hayden) Kjellander

Laconia-----Dorothy Mae (Hayden) Kjellander, 80, of Laconia, born February 15, 1928 in Braintree, Mass., the daughter of Aubrey E. and Bessie M. (Butler) Hayden, passed away on October 31, 2008 with her family by her side. She lived many years in Mass. before moving to New Hampshire.

Dorothy had a wonderful life. She worked for many years in the jewelry business. She enjoyed many crafts and was a very talented knitter, embroider and quilter. She loved spending time with all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Getting together with all of them brought her great joy. She will be missed terribly by all who knew her and will remain forever in our hearts.

Dorothy leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Paul A. Kjellander, of Laconia; five children, William Kjellander and his wife, Debbie, of Dallas, Texas, Paula Ellis and her husband, Douglas, of Belmont, N.H., Alan Kjellander and his wife, Wanda, of Sanbornton, N.H., Valerie Mann and her husband, Wyman, of Belmont, N. H. and Kris Kjellander and his wife, Jessica, of Kingston, Mass. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, Brandon Barrrett and his wife, Aime, and Bryce Kjellander and his wife, Jaime, all of Oklahoma, Kim Durand and her husband, Nick, of Meredith, N. H., Rick, Michael and Kristin Ellis of Belmont, N. H., Kathryn Mann of Belmont, N.H., Rebecca Mann of Bridgewater, Mass., Stephen and Loribeth Kjellander of Bemont, N.H. and Aubrey and Olivia Kjellander of Kingston, Mass. as well as three great grandchildren, Jordan and Mollie Durand of Meredith, N.H. and Addison Grace Barrett of Oklahoma. She also leaves behind a sister, Patricia Schlager, and her husband, John, of North Carolina and a brother, Aubrey Hayden, and his wife, Arlene, of Holbrook, Mass. as well as many nieces and nephews.

Private services were held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
