Helen M. (Breton) Gilman

Bradenton, Florida ----Helen M. (Breton) Gilman, 78, of 1415 24th Avenue Drive West, Bradenton, Florida and formerly of Laconia, N.H. died at the GreenBriar Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bradenton on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.  Mrs. Gilman was the widow of Richard H. Gilman who died June 22, 2008.

Mrs. Gilman was born November 22, 1929 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of  Narcisse & Blanche (Valliere) Breton.  She was raised in Laconia and had been a resident for over fifty years.

Mrs. Gilman enjoyed spending time with family and camping on the coast of Maine.

Mrs. Gilman is survived by two sons, Stephen Paul Gilman and Mark James Gilman, both of Laconia, N.H.; four grandchildren, Matthew Gilman, Leslie Gilman, Christopher Gilman and Nicholas Gilman; two great grandchildren, Hailey Jade Gilman and Carly Elizabeth Gilman; a brother, Richard Breton, of Westchester, Calif.; four sisters, Aldea Lacroix of Laconia, N.H., Alma Johnson of Carson, Calif. and Janet Drouin and Lorraine Rudzinski both of Laconia and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gilman was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Breton, and by a sister, Theresa Thompson.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Richard and Helen at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H. on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11:00AM by Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, N.H. 03101.
