Frances "Girlie" Fielders

Laconia-----Frances “Girlie”  Fielders, 88, of 75 Stark Street, Unit #3 and formerly a long time resident of Lamprey Road, Belmont, and Victoria Woods, Laconia died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, October 5, 2008.  She was the widow of Richard Leon Fielders who died in 1993.

         Mrs. Fielders was born September 14, 1920 in Laconia, N.H., the daughter of  Robert and Eva (Shackford) Hurd.   She was employed at Allen-Rogers for twenty-four years before retiring in 1972.

         Survivors include three grandchildren, Maria Bailey of  Middletown, Maryland, Kristina Bailey of  Laconia and Jon Paul Bailey of Seabrook;  three beloved  great granddaughters, Megan, Brittany and Heather; two brothers, Lawrence Hurd of  Lakeport and Charles Hurd of Florida; many nephews and nieces and four stepsons. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by fourteen siblings and by a daughter, Shirley Bailey, in 1992.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00AM at the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N. H.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Sportsmen’s Association, Inc., PO Box 214, Laconia, N.H. 03247-0214.

         Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
