Charles E. Faulkner

Laconia----- Charles E. Faulkner, 83, of 148 Randlett Drive and Summerfield, Florida, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, October 13, 2008.

Mr. Faulkner was born December 5, 1924 in Lynn, Mass., the son of Charles E. and Gertrude (Crosby) Faulkner.

Mr. Faulkner served in the U. S. Coast Guard and the U. S. Navy. He was injured while aboard the landing craft, Hell-ma-Harras, off the coast of New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean and north of Australia.

Mr. Faulkner had been employed at Bergen-Paterson Pipe Support Corp. for many years as Vice President of Quality Assurance and Product Engineering. In 1987, he was the Design Engineer for Lisega, USA until he retired in 1993.

Mr. Faulkner was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. He was also a member of AOPA and the National Rifle Association. He loved animals and had dogs all of his life, most recently Heineken and Shadow. Fishing, hunting and flying his airplanes were his passions.

Mr. Faulkner is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Parsons) Faulkner, of Laconia, N.H. and Summerfield, Florida; by a daughter, Sharon Ann Faulkner, of Marblehead, Mass.; three grandchildren, Charles Nichols, Joseph Nichols and Jennifer Hardison; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Crosby Faulkner, of Peabody, Mass.; a sister, Ruth Marie (Faulkner) Donahue, of Lynn, Mass. ; two nieces and three nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Faulkner was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn E. Faulkner.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 1:00-2:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 2:30PM at St. James Episcopal Church, 876 North Main Street, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charles E. Faulkner Memorial Fund c/o St. James Episcopal Church, 876 North Main Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
