Meredith-----M. Jean Bent, 78, of 8 Oak Ledge Road, died at her home on Friday October 31, 2008.

Mrs. Bent was born October 4, 1930 in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of Clifford and Gladys (Drain) Harvey.

Mrs. Bent was a graduate of the Boston School of Dental Nursing. She lived in Newton, Mass. where she was owner of the Lake View Rest Home. She and her husband moved to Meredith, N.H. twenty years ago.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, George L. Bent, of Meredith; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lenord S. and Jowell Bent of Gilmanton Iron Works and George C. and Susan Bent of York, Maine and five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bent was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Harvey.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home. Rev. John Davies of Community Health & Hospice will officiate.

Burial will be in the family lot in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
