Laconia------------Florence M. (Miller) Schmalberger, 87, of 51 Leigh Court, died at the Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Mrs. Schmalberger was the widow of William A. Schmalberger who died March 3, 2006.

Mrs. Schmalberger was born September 29, 1921 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Frank H. and Anna Marie Miller.

Mrs. Schmalberger lived in Davie, Florida for several years before moving to Laconia twenty years ago.

Mrs. Schmalberger was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Meredith Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Lynda Schmalberger, Patricia Dietz and her husband, Bob, all of Laconia and Donna Schmalberger and her husband, Dave Lichtenstein, of Denver, CO; six grandchildren, Anna, Carrie, Amanda and Scott Dietz, Maxwell Lichtenstein and Vaughn Moore; one great granddaughter, Ella Kate Kovalcik; a brother, James Miller, of Tacoma, Washington and several nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A private memorial service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. Rev. Robert Lemieux, Pastor of the Free Will Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery,
Meredith, NH.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Salvation Army, 177 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
