Clyde Charles Spooner

Belmont-----Clyde Charles Spooner, 60, of Belmont, N.H. passed away at Franklin Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 15, 2009.

Spooner was born in Islesboro, Maine on April 20, 1949 to Henry and Esther (Furgeson) Spooner.
Spooner was raised in the Lakes Region and lived with the Marden family of Belmont for the past 15 years.

Spooner was known for his warm personality and positive, upbeat attitude and was a kind and loving person. He loved doing paperwork and liked to meet with friends for coffee. He was also a great dancer and always had a hug for his friends and family.

During his life, he participated in Special Olympics with many gold medals to his credit. He was employed by Gilford Public Works before working at Gilford Walmart. Most recently, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Spooner is survived by his two sisters, Sally Long of Amherst, N.H. and Sharon Lyons of Idaho; by his brother, Richard Spooner, of Oklahoma and by his caregivers, Lewis & Denise Marden, of Belmont. He was predeceased by his parents.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11:00AM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.
