Laconia-----Lionel J. Bisson, 87, of 30 County Drive and formerly of 45 Gilmanton Road, Belmont, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Friday, November 21, 2008.

Lionel was born May 9, 1921 in Somersworth, NH, the son of the late Albert and Eva (Habel) Bisson. He lived in Belmont for most of his life.

Lionel was a very proud World War II Veteran, serving four years in the U. S. Army. After marrying the love of his life, Pauline Dauphin, Lionel went to work as a dairy manager for the A&P for thirty-four years in Laconia, Wolfeboro and Tilton.

Lionel loved to write letters to the editor of local newspapers. He also loved music, birds and taking pictures but his greatest love was the M/S Mt. Washington.

Lionel is survived by cousins, friends and most of all the Corbin Family who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his of wife of fifty-five years, Pauline (Dauphin) Bisson, and by two siblings, Loretta and Connie.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield St., Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
