Joseph W. Maltais

Belmont----Joseph W. Maltais, 91, of 303 Durrell Mt. Road, Belmont died at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin on Saturday, November 4, 2006. He was the widowe of Eunice (Hill) Maltais who died in 2000.

Mr. Maltais was born May 13, 1915 in Concord, NH, the son of John J. and Annie (Maher) Maltais. He had lived in Gilmanton most of his life. He had formerly worked at a C.C. Camp in NH.

Mr. Maltais had been employed at Northern Ski Factory for 23 years. He had also been employed at Johns Manville Corporation for a number of years.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Gloria Patten of Laconia, Patricia Vandenark of FL. and Brenda Crowell of Laconia; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Molly Langven, of Rochester; his niece and caretaker, Rita Miller, of Belmont and many nephews and nieces. Beside his wife and parents, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, John Maltais and Arthur Maltais and a sister, Marie Alire.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.

A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 7:00pm. A private burial will be in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.
