Laconia, NH-----Charles "Andy" A. Moores, Jr., 78, of 35 Kinsman Drive and formerly of 1090 N. Main Street, died at the Congregate Living Center, Taylor Community, on Monday, November 24, 2003.

Mr. Moores was born December 18, 1924 in Malden, MA, the son of Charles A. & Olive M. (Gilson) Moores.

Mr. Moores lived in Simsbury, CT for many years and was employed as a real estate broker and insurance adjustor. He was a former member of the Congregational Church of Simsbury. He was a member of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Department and retired after 25 years as a Lieutenant and a life member. In 1976, he moved to Laconia, NH and worked for Coldwell Banker Steve Weeks Realtors and was very active in the Lakes Region Board of Realtors and upon his retirement became an honorary member of the Lakes Region Board.

Survivors include his wife, Alice (Parsons) Moores, of Laconia, NH; three children, Charles A. Moores, III of East Hartland, CT; Christopher W. Moores and his wife, Lynn, of Burlington, CT and Elizabeth D. Koley of Glastonbury, CT; three stepchildren, Philip M. Johnson and his wife, Linda, of Charlton, MA; Jennifer Foote and her husband, Jonathan, of E. Hartford, CT and Carla Johnson Chaney and her husband, Frank, of High Point, N. C.; five step grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Laura Seaburg, and Julieanna Foote; two brothers, Robert E. Moores and his wife, Beverly, of Wakefield, MA and Roger K. Moores and his wife, Betty, of Center Harbor, NH; and several nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance. Rev. George Hankins-Hull, Spiritual Care Coordinator at Lakes Region General Hospital, will officiate.

Private burial will be at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, New York 10163.
