Barbara Louise (Bailey) McClintock

Tilton-----Barbara Louise (Bailey) McClintock, 84, of 1 Morrison Avenue, died of heart failure at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, May 6, 2007.

Mrs. McClintock, the eldest daughter of George and Alice (Mathereson) Bailey of Concord, was born in Hopkinton, NH on January 20, 1923.  She spent her childhood there until she graduated from Hopkinton High School in 1937 where she was a star player for the girls Varsity Basketball team.  The majority of her life was spent in Chichester and Pittsfield where she and her husband raised their five children.  She was an employee of the Globe Manufacturing Company of Pittsfield for nearly twenty years.

Survivors include her five children, a daughter, Bonnie Fortin, and her husband, Ernie, of Belmont, a son, Scott W. McClintock and his wife, Deborah, of Tilton, a son, Randall B. McClintock and his wife, Patricia, of Concord, a son Craig A. McClintock and his wife, Diane, of Alexandria and her youngest son, Frank A. McClintock and his wife, Linda, of Pembroke; twelve grandchildren, Glenn Ricker of Laconia, Brett Averill of Pittsfield, Ronnie Lamb of Concord, Tina Blais of Allenstown, Karma McClintock of Orleans, Vermont, Lance McClintock of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, Kathleen McClintock of Center Barnstead, Brian McClintock of Concord, Jason McClintock of Germany, Amanda McClintock of Alexandria and  Brandy McClintock and Christopher McClintock both of Pembroke; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Woodman, of Union, Maine; two brothers, William Bailey of Florida and Alan Bailey of Epsom, NH and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McClintock was predeceased by her husband, Herbert W. McClintock, in 1983 and by two brothers, George Bailey and Don Bailey, both of Concord.

 A calling hour will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 1:00-2:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.  A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 2:00PM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
