Meredith-----Thomas Wilmarth, 86, of Meredith, passed away at the Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin on Monday, May 8, 2006.

Mr. Wilmarth was born December 30, 1919 in New Hampton, NH the son of Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Wilmarth. He lived in Attleboro, MA for several years before moving to Meredith, NH thirty-five years ago.

Mr. Wilmarth was known throughout the area as the “wood man”. He cut, split and delivered wood everyday nearly to the end of his life. He also worked in the asphalt paving industry and for the State of NH Department of Transportation. He was a happy and go-lucky man. He will surely be missed.

Survivors include his brother, Harold Wilmarth, of Florida and many beloved nephews and nieces throughout the country.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 3:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
