Douglas W. Eaton

Laconia-----Douglas W. Eaton, 87, of 6 Hummingbird Lane, Laconia and Boynton Beach and Coconut Creek, Florida, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, May 24, 2006.

Mr. Eaton was born October 16, 1918 in Torrington, CT, the son of Albert and Edna (Leonard) Eaton. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and had been a resident of Laconia since 1985. He was a sales manager for MAN Roland for several years.

Survivors include two brothers, Donald H. Eaton and Irvine (Dick) Eaton of Florida and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret “Peg” M. Mitchell, in 1997 and by a brother, Leonard Eaton, in 1999.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street,
Laconia, NH.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 10:00AM also at the Funeral Home using the Whipple Avenue entrance. Rev. Richard Learned of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Burial follow at the family lot in Evans Cemetery, Bow, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, PO Box 6125, Laconia, NH 03247.
