Laconia----Sophie L. Copp, of 325 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen and formerly of 7 Church Street, Laconia, died at the Concord Hospital, Concord, NH on Sunday, May 28, 2006.

Mrs. Copp was born November 5, 1936 in Northfield, NH, the daughter of Michael and Irene (Brown) Vangjel.

She lived in the Lakes Region for most of her life and was employed at the Shalimar Resort as well as many other motels in the Lakes Region. She was also employed at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia from 1980-1983. She retired in 1988 Mrs. Copp was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Laconia.

Mrs. Copp is survived by two sons, Raymond H. Copp, Jr. and Mark A. Copp of Manchester; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Copp and Benjamin Copp, both of Manchester; one brother, Leo H. Vangjel of Texas; four sisters, Marion Nowak, Dorothy Rielly and Katherine Vangjel all of Franklin and Marie Belisle of Sanford, Maine and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Peter Vangjel and by two sisters, Eleanor Belisle and Christine Bilodeau.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 7:00-9:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 1:00PM also at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Arch Hill Cemetery, Tilton, NH.
