Rev. Conrad "Connie" V. LaForest

Winnisquam------Rev. Conrad "Connie" V. LaForest, 63, of 14 Hill Road, entered his Father's Home on May 21, 2003.

Rev. LaForest was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1940 in Nashua, NH, the son of the late Victor and Lillianne (Maynard) LaForest. He was baptized on February 19, 1940 and was confirmed on June 17, 1953.

He served in the U. S. Navy.

Rev. LaForest was Ordained by Bishop Primeau on May 29, 1970 (Pentecost). In 1988, Rev. LaForest became pastor of Our Lady of the Mountains in North Conway, NH. He served the Diocese of Manchester in the northern, southern, eastern and western parts of the State and retired in 2002.

Rev. LaForest became involved with the Knights of Columbus while in Suncook, NH. He was a life long member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree and was the force in the reorganization of Council #7575 and the Father Belford Assembly in North Conway, NH. Rev LaForest was an Eagle Scout, was active with the Boy Scouts in Penacook, NH and was a Scout Master in Hudson, NH.

Survivors include three brothers, Donald LaForest and his wife, Sandra of Amherst, NH, Leonard LaForest and his wife, Carol, of Hixson, Tennessee, and Raymond LaForest of Londonderry, NH; four sisters, Priscilla Maynard of Nashua, NH, Yvonne Leveque and her husband, Norman, of Leesburg, Florida, Monique Russin and her husband, Richard of Hudson, NH and Theresa LaForest of Sulphur Well, KY and many nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 26, 2003 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH presided by Bishop John B. McCormack, DD, Homilist, Rev. Donald Gauthier. Burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua, NH will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Daniel Webster Council - Boy Scouts of America, 571 Holt Avenue, Manchester, NH 03109.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
