Laconia——-Mrs. Katherine “Kay” R. Gonyer, 76, of 274 Paugus Park, Lakeport, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at the Lakes Region General Hospital. She was the widow of Henry Gonyer who died in 1974.
Mrs. Gonyer was born April 17, 1926 in Rossiter, PA, the daughter of Nicholas and Minnette (Miriallo) Arico. She lived in Brunswick, New Jersey for a few years before moving to Laconia, NH in 1947. Mrs. Gonyer worked for the Laconia Needle Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1986. She also worked part time at Giuseppe’s Pizzeria & Ristorante in Meredith, NH.
Mrs. Gonyer was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church.
She is survived by a sister, Anna Nicoletti of New Brunswick, NJ; several nephews and nieces in New Jersey; and several godchildren and dear friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Arico and Anthony Arico, and by a sister, Josephine Weiderkehr.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 10:00 at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street. Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
