Dorothy "Dot" M. Tillson

New Port Richey, FL - Dorothy” Dot” M. Tillson, 82, of New Port Richey, Fl. and formerly of Laconia and Manchester, N.H. passed away peacefully with family members along her bedside March 2nd 2010.
Dorothy was born March 26, 1927 in Orleans, VT., the daughter of Stanley and Mattie Farrar. She had been a resident of FL. since 2000, moving there from her Lake Winnipesaukee home she enjoyed so much. She was a 1945 graduate of Manchester West High moving to Laconia in 1973. She was an avid Red Sox fan and golfer.
She also enjoyed many travel experiences she shared with her husband, family and friends. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and The First Congregational Church on Hanover Street, Manchester.
Dorothy was a wonderful mother and wife with many friends and will be missed greatly.
Dorothy is survived my her husband of 64 years, Kenneth P. Tillson, of FL; two sons, Robert Tillson and his wife, Andrea, of St. Augustine, FL and Randall Tillson and his wife, Wendy, of Gilford, N.H; a sister, Nancy Farrar, and brother, Robert, and his wife, Peggy Farrar, all of Manchester, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A private family service will be held at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen in the spring.
