Charles "Sam" A. Bolduc, Jr.

New Port Richey, Florida----Charles "Sam" A. Bolduc, Jr., 84, formerly of Laconia, N.H. died at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, Florida on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Mr. Bolduc was born October 12, 1925 in N. Chelmsford, Mass. the son of Aurore (Theberge) and Charles A. Bolduc, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U. S. Air Force.

Mr. Bolduc moved to Gilford as an infant and then to Laconia where he lived for several years before moving to Florida in l969. He was a self-employed general contractor and built many filling stations. He also worked at the Bolduc Farm in Gilford, Lessard’s Auto in Lakeport, was an ice cutter at Rudzinski's Ice House in Lakeport, was a dog officer for the City of Laconia and was owner of Sam's Market on Route 106 for twelve years.

Mr. Bolduc was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia. He was a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #428 of Laconia.

Mr. Bolduc was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Chapter #7845 of New Port Richey, Florida and a member of the Moose Club in Laconia. He heavily promoted boxing in Laconia and was a member of the Laconia Boxing Club at the Railroad Station.

Survivors include his wife of 61years, Gwendolyn J. (Wylie) Bolduc, of New Port Richey, FL; two sons, Rev. Charles A. Bolduc III of Newton, AL and Brian L. Bolduc of Palm Harbor, FL; three daughters, Helen (Bolduc) Bowne of Bushnell, FL, Penny Bolduc Angelilli of Holiday, FL and Phyllis (Bolduc) Hendersen of Hudson, FL; eleven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; seven brothers, Kenneth Bolduc of Laconia, Roland H. Bolduc of Tilton, Maurice Bolduc of New Port Richey, FL, Ernest Bolduc of Laconia, Rev. Hector Bolduc of Gilford, Armand Bolduc of Lakeport and Robert Bolduc of Winnisquam; three sisters, Anita McKeown of Belmont, Laurette Seabeck of Gilford and Helen Gaudett of Belmont and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bolduc was predeceased by two sons, Philip Bolduc in 1961 and Raymond L. Bolduc in 1974, by a brother, Joseph Bolduc, in l927 and by two sisters, Theresea Tracy in 2005 and Barbara Colby in 2003.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane- Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street,Laconia, N. H.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street,Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Two Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03220-6803 or to the American Heart Association , 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
