George J. Paquette

Laconia-----George J. Paquette, 86, of 1 Cottonwood Avenue, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, March 12, 2007.

Mr. Paquette was born January 21, 1921 in Newport, Vermont, the son of Belonie J. and Sylvia A. (Dubuc) Paquette.

Mr. Paquette served in the U. S. Army.  He resided in New Jersey for several years before moving to Laconia thirty years ago.

Mr. Paquette was a heavy equipment operator and was employed at Ambrose Construction for thirty years.  He retired in 2003. 

Mr. Paquette was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Laconia Post No. 1670.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Davis) Paquette, of Laconia, N. H.; three sons, Steven G. Paquette, of Indiana, Gerry S. Paquette, of Milford, Conn. and Michael J. Paquette, of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; a brother, John Paquette; a sister, Georgette Robinson, of Holderness, N. H. and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by ten brothers and four sisters.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 2:00PM-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 11:30AM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Meredith Village Cemetery, Meredith, NH.
