Daniel B. Earnshaw, Sr.

BELMONT—Daniel B. Earnshaw, Sr., 74, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia with his wife and children by his side.  He will be greatly missed.

Dan was born September 17, 1932 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania

Dan served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 1 in Laconia.

He worked for Sears as a Service Technician for 23 years in Ohio prior to moving to Massachusetts and then New Hampshire.  He worked for FCI Components until his retirement in July of 2004.

Along with his love for his family, Dan’s passions in life were fishing, bingo and going to Foxwoods.

Dan fully enjoyed his retirement years filling them with family and playing with his great-grandchildren, especially teaching them to fish.

He was a loving husband for 50+ years and was a caring and devoted father to his two children.

He leaves his wife, Rose Elaine Earnshaw, of Belmont; daughter, Debbie and her husband, Jay Brittain, of Gilford; son, Daniel Earnshaw, Jr., of Belmont; four grandchildren, Rachel and her husband, Joel LeClerc, of Windham, Maine, Jim Evans and Lindsey Wilson of Glastonbury, Conn., Talia Earnshaw of Belmont, N.H., Kyle Earnshaw of Salem, N.H.; two step grandchildren,  Jessica & Brendan Ryan of Salem, N.H.; three great grandchildren, Landon and Connor LeClerc of Windham, Maine, Liam Daniel Evans of  Glastonbury, Conn.;  sisters-in-law, Bertha and her husband, Jim Angelo, of Belmont, N.H., Pauline Castor of Dracut, Mass. and Karen and her husband, Paul Shannon, of Manchester, N.H., and several nieces & nephews.

There will be no calling hours. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 110 DW Highway, Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 N.
