John L. Paradise

Barrington------John L. Paradise, 31, of 306 Rt 4, died at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH on Monday, March 31,2003.

John was born October 1, 1971 in Laconia, NH, the son of Lionel J. and Sally Ann (James) Paradise.

John lived in Gilford, NH most of his life. He had been a resident of the seacoast region for the past four years. John graduated from Gilford Middle High School in 1990 and also graduated from the College of Oceanography in San Diego, CA. and was a professional diver for a number of oil companies. He graduated from Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH in 1997 with a major in Business and a minor in Economics. Following his graduation from Plymouth State, he was a stockbroker for the Olde Brokerage Firm in Boston, MA for a year.

John was co-founder and co-owner of the Meetinghouse Brewing Company in Gilmanton, NH. He was a certified Brewmeister and possessed the true entrepreneurial spirit. Meetinghouse was honored four years in a row with multiple blue ribbons at the Sandwich Fair, and is being voted in New Hampshire Magazine's Best of NH contest. John was also involved with the restoration and restructuring of a number of New Hampshire's antique post and beam barns. He was a past member of the Belknap County Sportsman's Association of Gilford. John loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and treasured spending time with his wife at the ocean. John always enjoyed being with friends and family who remember him as the most positive and joyful person they knew. John lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

John is survived by his wife and best friend, Sonsa (Fecteau) Paradise of Barrington, NH; his parents, Lionel and Sally Ann (James) Paradise of Gilford, NH; a brother, Donald J. Guarino of Gilmanton, NH; two sisters, Nikki Wheeler of Belmont, NH and Sharon Vance of Ormond Beach, Florida; his grandmother, Marie Louise Paradise of Laconia, NH; and four nephews and nieces and several cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Gilford Community Church, Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Rev.Michael Graham, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. He will be assisted by Rev. Linda Bolton, Minister of the Gilmanton Town Ministry

Burial will be held later in the spring in the family lot at McCoy Cemetery, Gilford, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John L. Paradise Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Lakes Region Scholarship Fund,
