Raymond E. Kimball

Laconia-----Raymond E. Kimball, 75, of 30 County Home Drive, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Sunday, March 2, 2003. Mr. Kimball was born June 8, 1927 in Belmont, NH. He was the widower of Lillian (Hilliard) Kimball who died in 1988.

Mr. Kimball was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and had been employed at Baron Machine for over 10 years and had formerly worked at Scott & Williams, Inc. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and later served in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, Wilkins Smith Post #1.

Survivors include two sons, Gary H. Kimball of Portland, Maine, Allen E. Kimball, of Gilford, NH; two grandchildren, Matthew D. Kimball and Allison L. Kimball both of Belmont, NH; three sisters, Shirley Clifford and Janet Jolin both of Moultonboro, NH and Marjorie Lawrence of Loudon, NH; four brothers, Allen Huckins and Lewis Huckins both of Laconia, NH, Percy Huckins of Newmarket, NH, and George Huckins of Belmont, NH; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Madeline Ward, and a brother, Richard Huckins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 from 2-4 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the American Legion, Wilkins Smith Post #1, 849 No. Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
