A. Martha Baker

Laconia-----Mrs. A. Martha Baker, 87, of 19 Warren Street, died at Genesis Eldercare Network Laconia Center, on Friday, March 14, 2003. She was the widow of Carl C. Baker who died in 1994.

Mrs. Baker was born February 17, 1916 in Laconia, the daughter of Alexander and Albina (Vigneault) Belford. She was a lifelong resident of Laconia and was employed in the office at Scott & Williams for many years.

Mrs. Baker was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include a son, David Baker of Waterbury, Vermont; a sister, Marcella Allen of Laconia, a brother, Dr. Charles Belford of Laconia; 8 nephews and nieces; and 13 grandnephews and grandnieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Daniel S. Baker in 1959 and by a sister, Virginia Belford.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Laconia on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 10:00AM. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Spring Burial will be in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity School, 50 Church Street, Laconia, NH 03246.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
