Laconia, NH---Rita J. Morris, 58, of 5243 Oxford CT.,Wildwood, Florida and formerly of Lakeport, NH passed away at Leesburg Regional Hospital on June 3, 2008.

Rita was born July 5, 1949 in Laconia, N.H., the daughter of Betty (Patten) and Paul Leroux, Sr. Rita was a 55 year resident of  Laconia where she co-owned Star Gaze Pools and Spas for a number of years with husband, David “Whitey” Morris, before retiring to Florida and opening Raw Riders Motorcycle apparel.

Rita was a free spirit and enjoyed living life to the fullest; she was an avid gardener, sewer and decorator with the ability to make something out of nothing. She enjoyed the ocean, swimming, and motorcycle adventures. Rita loved vacationing and time spent with family and friends and was always full of love, fun and laughter.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, David (Whitey) Morris, of Wildwood, Florida; children, Ronald and Leslie Emond of Franklin, Richard Emond of Laconia, Charlene and Robert Little of Laconia and Michael and Dawn Emond of Laconia; brothers, Paul Leroux, Jr. and Roger Leroux; sisters, Carol Beebe, Patricia Normandin and Theresa Beauregard; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Kendra and Cody Emond, Ashley and Andrew Little, Joshua Emond and John Sands; one great grandchild, Hunter Leblanc, and several nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Betty Kelly and Paul Leroux, Sr.; sister, Roberta Bernier, and brother, Michael Leroux.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1:00 P.M. also at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home.
