Laconia-----Frank F. McElleney, 84, of 24 Windmill Lane, died at home on June, 5, 2008.

Frank was born on May 19, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Francis and Margaret (Johnson---) McElleny.  He came to the Lakes Region in the early 1970’s.  Frank worked for the Ames Family at Weirs Beach for many years and attended the Laconia Senior Center for the last twenty years.

  Frank had a smile and sense of humor that are unforgettable.  He was a loving member of the Vollmerding family and spent the last twenty-seven years in the care of Linda Vollmerding and was known to the family as Uncle Frank.  He is survived by Linda Vollmerding; her daughters, Krista Kiley and Laura Youssef, and grandchildren, Grace Kiley and Wilson Youssef.  Frank was very proud of his family and so loved spending time with the children.  He will be truly missed.

The family will be holding a graveside service at the Bayside Cemetery on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Laconia Senior Center, 17 Church St., Laconia, N. H. 03246 and to the Community Action Program – Rural Transportation System, 17 Church Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
