Richard H. Gilman

Bradenton, Florida-----Richard H. Gilman, 80, of 1415 24th Ave. Drive West, and formerly of Laconia, N.H., died at the Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Florida on Sunday, June 22, 2008.

Mr. Gilman was born July 23, 1927 in Laconia, N.H., the son of Harold J. and Edna ( Durham) Gilman.

Mr. Gilman lived in Laconia for fifty years.  He was a graduate of Laconia High School and served in the U. S. Navy.  He was employed at Scott & Williams for several years before establishing his own business, Industrial Patterns & Models in 1963.  He retired in 1992.

Mr. Gilman was a trained photographer and self-taught artist.  He was a past member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks and the Laconia Country Club.

Mr. Gilman is survived by his wife, Helen M. (Breton) Gilman of Florida; two sons, Stephen Paul Gilman and Mark James Gilman; four grandchildren, Matthew Gilman, Leslie Gilman, Christopher Gilman and Nicholas Gilman; one great granddaughter, Hailie Jade Gilman, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilman was predeceased by his sister, Arlene Gilman Donnelly.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the  Alzheimer’s Association, NH Office, One Bedford Farms Drive Suite 105, Bedford, N.H. 03110.
