Meredith-----Norman Folsom, Jr., 66, of 53 Hatch Corner Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Monday, June 9, 2008. 

         Mr. Folsom was born July 29, 1941 in Boston, Mass., the son of Gladys (O’Connell) and Norman Folsom, Sr.  He was a longtime resident of Brockton, Mass. and was employed by the City of Brockton.

  Mr. Folsom moved to Meredith twelve years ago.  He was an avid fisherman and loved his old cars, woodworking and animals.

         Mr. Folsom is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Marilyn (Clark) Folsom, of Meredith; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Theresa M. Folsom of Rayham, Mass.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette A. and Peter LaGarde of Meredith; three grandchildren, Joseph LaGarde of Gilford, Heather J. LaGarde of Meredith and Melissa O’Leary of Rayham, Mass.; three grandchildren, Ciara, Alisiah and Joseph Peter; two brothers,

Robert Folsom of Bethel, Maine and Arthur Folsom of Carver, Mass.; two sisters, Barbara Lewis of Montgomery, Alabama and Helen Jenney of Shearonville, Ohio and many nephews and nieces.  Mr. Folsom was predeceased by his parents and by a sister, Dorothy Lindberg.   

         A calling hour will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 10:00AM-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. 

The Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home.

         Burial will follow in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N.H. 03247.
