Gilford-----Jennifer E. Gould, 24, of 153 Saltmarsh Pond Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, June 10, 2007 after a sudden illness.

Jennifer was born May 31, 1983 in Laconia, the daughter of Kurt and Patricia (Thompson) Gould.

Jennifer was a lifelong Lakes Region resident and attended Gilford Middle High School. Her longtime battle with chronic renal failure only slowed her down but never stopped her. She never gave up and continued doing things that she loved.

Those who knew Jen well or even at all, knew her love for animals. From the time she was a little girl; she loved and had an amazing compassion for animals. On a trip to Australia, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in earlier years, Jen enjoyed seeing all kinds of exotic animals and a whole different culture.

Jennifer also had a love for reading and writing poetry. She read many books and wrote poetry almost her whole life. Movies were also a big part of Jen’s life, but she always said, "the book is always better."

Jennifer will be remembered for many things but her courage and bravery will never be forgotten and will always be a source of inspiration to those who knew and loved her. Even after her death Jen continued to help others by donating those organs which could still save someone else’s life.

Survivors include her parents, Kurt and Patricia Gould; her sister, Colleen Gould; her grandmother, Marjorie Newlen, her grandmother, Frances Thompson; nine aunts and uncles and many cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Haley and Chief, her cat, Eragon, her two guinea pigs, Hamlet and Onyx, and her dog nephew, Steve. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Sheri (Marotte) Nason.

There are no calling hours.
