Charlotte Dalton

Laconia-----Charlotte Dalton, 89, of 30 County Drive, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Wednesday, June 7, 2006. She was the widow of Frederick Dalton who died in 1991.

Mrs. Dalton was born August 20, 1916 in Derry, NH, the daughter of Wilmot and Laura F. (Lupien) Sawyer. She was raised in Derry and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy.

Mrs. Dalton resided in the Laconia-Belmont area for sixty-four years and was employed by the Laconia School District for several years. She was a member of the Mary Butler Chapter, N.S.D.A.R., in Laconia; a Girl Scout leader and a Hospice volunteer with Community Health & Hospice.

Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Dalton of Exeter and Thomas S. Dalton of Belmont; a daughter, Patricia A. Edgecomb, of Yarmouth, Maine; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a brother, Wiliam C. Sawyer, of East Newport, ME.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 10:00AM also at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at 1:00PM in the family lot at Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry Road, Derry, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
