Barbara Colvin Westcott

Laconia, NH-----Mrs. Barbara Colvin Westcott, 62, of 2 Wildwood Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on May 28, 1941, she was the daughter of Walter S. and Virginia (Mitchell) Colvin.

Mrs. Westcott graduated from Hopkinton High School and Mont Ida College. She lived in Nashua, NH for 32 years before recently moving to Laconia. She was an employee of Anheuser Busch in Merrimack for 18 years. Upon retiring in 1998, she served as a substitute teacher in the Nashua School System, a position she thoroughly enjoyed.

Mrs. Westcott was predeceased by her father, Walter S. Colvin, and her stepfather, Eugene Worthen. She is survived by her husband, Perry Westcott; her mother, Virginia (Mitchell) Worthen; a son, Brad Westcott and his wife, Kate; two beloved grandchildren, Alex and Adam; two half sisters, Catherine Colvin Hagan and Elizabeth Colvin Mackey, a half brother, Walter Colvin, Jr. a stepmother, Carol Crook Colvin ; a step brother, Kent Worthen; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves a large circle of loving friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Noon in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
