Northfield----Mary J. Maciel 84, of 25 Spring Street died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, Saturday, July 19, 2008. She was the widow of Ernest A. Maciel.

Mary was born May 21, 1924 in Oak Bluffs, Mass, the daughter of John G. and Constance (Carreira) Camacho.  She had been a resident of Northfield for the past 22 years coming from Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.

Mary was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish, Belmont. She loved her family.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Tina DuBreuil and Connie Dursin; 2 sons, David Maciel and John Shew; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Maciel; a brother, Joe Camacho; several nephews and nieces. Beside her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Donald Maciel, and a sister, Charlotte Perry.

A calling hour will be held at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from 2-3 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 PM.

Burial will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in the family lot at Oak Grove Cemetery, Vineyard Haven, MA
