Gilford-----Edward “Ted” I. Ritson, 72, of 117 Shore Road, died at his home on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.

Ted was born March 1, 1936 in Nashua, N.H., the son of Daniel D. and Marjorie (Campbell) Ritson.  He was raised in Greenwich, Conn. and graduated from New Hampton Prep., New Hampton, N.H. and Clark University, Worcester, Mass.

Ted served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a System’s Analyst with Honeywell and was also employed by the State of New Hampshire – Dept. of Health & Human Services.

Ted was involved with various organizations in the Lakes Region.  He enjoyed skiing, boating and sailing.

Ted is survived by his wife, Ethie (Morrell) Ritson, of Gilford; two sons, Timothy J. Ritson of Sandy, Utah and Daniel M. Ritson of Gilford and three grandchildren, Jessica, Travis and Joshua.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Ritson was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Ritson.

There will be no calling hours.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 1:30-3:30PM at the Governors Island Clubhouse, Edgewater Drive, Gilford, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ted Ritson Scholarship Fund, c/o Laconia Savings Bank, 62 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
