Helen M. Curtis

Gilford-----Helen M. Curtis, 86, of 303 Old Lake Shore Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, July 23, 2003.

Mrs. Curtis was born September 17, 1916 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Dr. Arthur and Helene (Rolland) Maynard.

Mrs. Curtis lived in New Mexico and California for several years before moving to Gilford, NH over 10 years ago. She was a librarian for the Silver City Public Library in Silver City, New Mexico and retired in 1984.

While living in Gilford, Mrs. Curtis was a volunteer for Community Health & Hospice.

Survivors include seven nieces, Betty Dascoulias of Winnisquam, NH, Barbara Dupont of Laconia, NH, Lorraine Parenteau of Franklin, NH, Marilyn Angus of Arizona, Lorraine Hall of Goffstown, NH, Loretta Belanger of Arizona and Shirley Ruther of California; four nephews, Mickey Beaupre of Franklin, NH, Richard Belanger and Bob Johnson both of California, and Bruce Cross of New Mexico; and many grandnephews and grandnieces.

A Calling hour will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2003 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 2:00 PM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the family lot in Corser Hill Cemetery, Webster, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
