Arthur J. Varricchio

Laconia, NH-----Arthur J. Varricchio, 79 of 17 Mistwood Lane, Laconia and formerly of Festa Road, Revere, MA died at his home Saturday January 6, 2007.

Mr. Varricchio was born March 11, 1927 in Chelsea, MA the son of Arthur and Margaret (Fiocolo) Varricchio. He had lived in Revere for many years before moving to Laconia in 2005.

Mr. Varricchio was an auto salesman for Bellotti Oldsmobile, later York Oldsmobile, in Somerville for many years. He loved to sing, enjoyed cooking, and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was an original member, and past president of the 5-2 Club in Chelsea, Ma.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Claire E. (Daly) Varricchio of Laconia, a daughter, Karen Sullivan of Laconia; a son Kevin J. Varricchio of West Yarmouth, MA; 5 granddaughters Danielle Sullivan, Nicole Sullivan , Brianna Sullivan, Melina Varricchio and Mia Varricchio; a brother Richard J. Varricchio of Kittery, Maine; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by son, Wayne A. Varricchio in 1990 and by 3 brothers: Albert, Joseph and Michael and a sister Emily Pantano.

Calling hours will be held Monday January 8, 2007 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea, MA.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols Street, Chelsea Tuesday at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Everett, MA.
