Belmont-----Joseph L. Tessier, 77, 22 Heritage Terrace, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Monday, January 8, 2007.

Mr. Tessier was born September 23, 1929 in Lawrence, MA, the son of Eugene and Blanche (Becott) Tessier. Mr. Tessier lived in Derry, NH for several years before moving to Belmont ten years ago. He was employed at Process Engineering, Inc. for twenty-eight years.

Mr. Tessier enjoyed camping, fishing and canoeing.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Ruth D. (Dennis) Tessier, of Belmont; three sons, Ray Tessier of Athens, Vermont, Joseph Tessier and his wife, Marion, of Georgia and Brian Tessier and his wife, Marcia, of Haverhill, MA; two grandchildren, Jennifer Newman of Tennessee and Dominick Tessier of Georgia; two sisters, Bernie Thibadeau and Rita Lavery, both of California and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Paul Tessier and by four brothers and five sisters.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 2:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 4:00PM also at the Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 10 Ferry Street, Suite 427B, Concord, NH 03301.
