Lionel L. Landry

Laconia – Lionel L. Landry, 77 of Laconia died Saturday January 27 2007, at the Lakes Region General Hospital, after a short illness.

He was born in Manchester on May 4, 1929, the son of Joseph & Maria (Lavoie) Landry. He attended Central High School in Manchester.  He later joined the United States Air Force in August of 1948 and was honorably discharged in February 1949. 

He spent most of his life working as a laborer doing carpentry work until he retired.  When he was not working he attended schooling for advanced skills in the printing business.  He enjoyed printing his own Christmas Cards.  After retirement he continued to do odd jobs for family and friends.

He was a religious man who spent long hours helping at his local church.  He was a member of the Center Harbor Christian Church in Center Harbor.  He really enjoyed his weekly Bible studies as well as Sunday services.

He was a loving man who enjoyed the simple things in life.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Family members include his long time companion, Marie Sinclair, a brother Ernest Landry of Manchester, three sons, Lionel Landry of Manchester, Steven Landry of Manchester, & Scott Landry of Goffstown, four step-daughters, Linda Hatzibiros of Bedford, Sharon Raiche of Manchester, Ella Jewett of Laconia and Darlene Hargis of Manchester.  He also leaves 9 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; nieces, nephews & cousins.  He was predeceased by his sister, Irene, and 3 brothers Alfred, Roland & Donald.  

A memorial service will take place Saturday, February 3rd @ noon at the Center Harbor Christian Church, 80 Bean Road, Center Harbor, NH.  Pastor Robert Farah will perform the ceremony.  A burial at a later date will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen NH.  Donations can be made to Center Harbor Christian Church, 80 Bean Road, PO Box 350, Center Harbor, NH 03226 in his memory.
