Dorothy A. Caldwell

Laconia-----Mrs. Dorothy A. Caldwell, 93, of 21 Ledges Drive, died at the Congregate Living Center, Taylor Community, on Monday, January 12, 2004. She was the widow of Richard K. Caldwell.

Mrs. Caldwell was born, August 24, 1910 in Winchester, MA, the daughter of Horace W. and Dorothy L. (Little) Ash. She lived in Winchester for over forty years before moving to Center Harbor, NH in 1958.

She and her husband were owners of Caldwell House, a bed & breakfast. In 1997 she moved to Laconia.

Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the Center Harbor Congregational Church and past president of the Center Harbor Woman's Club. She enjoyed golfing, quilting, knitting, and painting and enjoyed being a volunteer, particularly at hospitals.

Survivors include a son, John Butler, of Honolulu, Hawaii; a daughter, Linda Orsman, of No. Andover, MA; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A Spring Graveside Service will be held at the Center Harbor Memorial Park, Center Harbor, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
