Robert E. Shepard, Sr.

Laconia------Robert E. Shepard, Sr. 74, of 33 Winter Street, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, on Friday, January 17, 2003.

Mr. Shepard was born January 9, 1929 in Laconia, the son of Tracy T. and Colista (Hackett) Shepard. He was a life long resident of Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School.

Mr. Shepard was employed at N.H. Ballbearing for over 25 years retiring in 1995. He had formerly been employed at Scott & Williams.

Mr. Shepard was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Laconia-Gilford. He enjoyed gardening and country living.

Survivors include his wife, Jane A. (Bean) Shepard, of Laconia; 3 sons Peter J. Bissonnette of Laconia, Tracy H. Shepard of Danbury and Robert E. Shepard, Jr. of Concord; 4 grandchildren Mathew Bissonnette and Ian Bissonnette both of Laconia, Abbie Shepard of Sunapee and Elizabeth Shepard of Danbury; 2 brothers Philip R. Shepard of Manchester and Richard W. Shepard of Gilford; several nephews and nieces.

There are no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 11:00 AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Victoria Wood Parrish, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
