Kenneth E. Foster, Sr.

Laconia, NH--------Kenneth E. Foster, Sr., 85, of 89 Wildwood Drive, died at his home on January 22, 2003.
Mr. Foster was born May 31, 1917 in Freehold, New Jersey, the son of Edward H. and Anne (Penney) Foster.

Mr. Foster served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He lived in Freehold, New Jersey for many years before moving to Laconia, NH twenty-two years ago. He was a police officer for the Town of Freehold Boro, NJ for twenty-five years, retiring in 1978. He was also a former Fire Chief and Truant Officer.

Mr. Foster was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Laconia, NH. He was also a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Adele M. (Croes) Foster of Laconia; three sons, Fred Foster, of Laconia; Kenneth Foster of West Palm Beach, Florida; Bruce Foster of Belmont, NH; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Foster of Freehold, NJ; and many nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2003 from 10:00AM&Mac247;11:00 AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 AM also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
