Laconia, NH-------Miss Tawnya Lynn Columb, 39, of 93 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, Rhode Island died at her parents home at 1220 Old North Main Street, Laconia, NH on Wednesday, January 1, 2003, after a courageous battle with lymphoma.

Tawnya was born March 4, 1963, in St. Albans, Vermont, the daughter of Alfred T. and Catherine M. (Lambert) Columb. In 1981, she graduated from the Northeastern Clinton Central School in Champlain, New York and in 1983, she graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont with an associate's degree. She was a dental assistant and lab technician for Dr. Michael Rubenstein and Dr. Robert Ducoff in Providence, Rhode Island for eleven years. As an avid athlete, she enjoyed golf, rollerblading, softball, volleyball, soccer, skiing and tennis. She was awarded a lifetime membership at the Triggs Country Club in Rhode Island.

Tawnya was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Smithfield, Rhode Island and St. Joseph Church in Laconia, NH.

Tawnya is survived by her parents, Alfred T. and Catherine M. Columb of Laconia, NH; a sister, Tara J. Columb of Gilford, NH; two brothers, Ronald M. Columb of Laconia, NH, Randal J. Columb and his wife, Donna E. Kirste, of Manchester, NH; two nieces, Emelia M. Columb and Kelsea O. Columb, both of Manchester, NH; her Godparents, Kevin & Dorothy St. John of Clearwater, Florida; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Alfred F. & Edna Columb and Homer and Lucienne Lambert.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2003 from 3:00-6:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sunday, January 5, 2003 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
